How to Clear the Cache/Cookies of Google Chrome

Browsers, like Google Chrome, saves information from websites to load faster, save your game progress and more. However, clearing the cache and cookies can help you fix certain problems like loading or formatting issues on websites.

On a Computer

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click the three dots in the top right-hand corner
  3. Click More tools
  4. Click Clear browsing data
  5. Choose a time range
  6. Check the Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files
  7. Click Clear Data

On an iPhone/iPad

  1. Open Chrome
  2. At the bottom, tap more
  3. Tap History
  4. Tap Clear browsing data
  5. Be sure you check Cookies, Site Data and Cached Images and Files
  6. Tap Clear Data

On an Android

  1. Open Chrome
  2. At the top right, tap the three dots
  3. Tap History
  4. Tap Clear browsing data
  5. Choose a time range
  6. Check Cookies and site data and Cached images and files
  7. Tap Clear Data

What will this do?

Settings on sites could get deleted, for example, on a website you would have to sign in again. Sites will be slower because all of the images and data will have to load again. You’ll stay signed into Chrome applications, but not anything else. However, all this information will be back soon enough.
