Smartwatches are helpful most of the time. One thing that is bad about them is the fact that they deliver every single notification you get straight to you. Here’s how to manage and set up notifications on the Galaxy Watch 4 series.
Choosing which apps can send notifications
Here’s how to disable certain applications from sending notifications.
- Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your Samsung phone.
- Select your watch
- Tap Watch settings
- Tap Notifications
- Look for a section that lists indivisual apps, and tap more under that section.
- Find the apps you want to disable from sending notifications and tap the toggle to enable/disable the notifications.

Adjusting when to show notifications
- Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your Samsung Phone.
- Select your watch
- Tap Watch settings
- Tap notifications
- Tap Show phone notifications on watch and choose either Show alerts when phone is not in use or Show alerts even when the phone is in use.
Additional settings
In the Notification settings in the Galaxy Wearable app, under Advanced notification settings, there are a few more things you can do, such as toggle on/off turn on the screen, Show with details, and more. Tweak it to however you would like.
